Ruby-Throated Hummingbird - A bright Ruby-Throated Hummingbird with iridescent coloring samples nectar from a red bee balm. This realistic painting was inspired by the many birds that visit our backyard habitat - including a variety of hummingbirds.  It was created on a 10 x 10 inch gallery wrap canvas with 1.5 inch sides using professional grade acrylics.  The image is continued onto the sides of the canvas.  No framing is necessary.  A spray varnish was used to enhance and preserve the vibrant colors.
