Rose Breasted Grosbeak - A strikingly colorful male grosbeak perched on a branch of spring blossoms.  This realistic painting was inspired by the many birds that visit our backyard habitat including the very vocal grosbeak.  It was created on Centurion archival stretched linen with staple free edges using professional grade oils.  A spray varnish was used to enhance and preserve the vibrant oil colors.
