Pointe Aux Barques Lighthouse - Built in 1857 at the point from Lake Huron into Saginaw Bay, this lighthouse warned of shallows near the coast.  The name means "point of little boats".  This painting was inspired from photos of the lighthouse and created in a colorful  autumn landscape with sailboats rounding the point. It was created on Centurion archival stretched linen with staple free edges using professional grade oils.  A spray varnish was used to enhance and preserve the vibrant oil colors.
