Cardinal and Dogwood - A bright red male Northern Cardinal on a branch of white dogwood flowers. This realistic painting was inspired by the many bird visitors to our backyard habitat including the "red birds" who are full time residents of our area.  It was created on Centurion archival stretched linen with staple free edges using professional grade oils.  A spray varnish was used to enhance and preserve the vibrant oil colors.
