Blue Jay and Sunflower - A brilliant male Blue Jay perches on a giant sunflower.  This realistic painting was inspired by the many bird visitors to our backyard habitat including the flamboyant Blue Jays who tend to bully the other birds. It was created on Centurion archival stretched linen with staple free edges using professional grade oils.  A spray varnish was used to enhance and preserve the vibrant oil colors.
