Additional Store Information:  Some gallery paintings shown are already sold or are in the hands of private collectors, but have been included here as examples of works already completed by the artist.  If you see a painting you would like, but it is already sold, you may e-mail the artist to discuss commissioning a similar piece, or you may prefer to provide the artist with a picture of a work you would like to have done.  Commission prices will generally be similar to those shown on the price page, however, cost will vary according to the size of the painting and the detail involved.

Ownership Rights:  All my work is copyrighted and may not be downloaded, copied or otherwise reproduced in any form without written permission from me.  All rights remain with the artist.  On sold works, the artist reserves the right to use the image of the painting, including reproductions, inclusion on websites and promotional materials, and to paint similar subjects.

Care of Original Oil Paintings My oil paintings have been created with professional grade oils  or acrylics on archival stretched canvas, gallery wrap canvas, canvas panels, mat board (art cards) and occasionally masonite panels.  They have been sprayed with a protective coating of retouch varnish.  A coat of final varnish may be applied six months to a year after completion of the painting to allow the oils to dry completely.  You can dust them but do not use cleaner or solvents.  It is recommended that paintings be hung out of direct sunlight and avoid areas with exposure to high moisture or heat (such as bathrooms).  My paintings are usually sold unframed and some are gallery-wrap in which case I paint the sides with a continuation of the image or a coordinating color.  You can frame the gallery-wrap canvas later if so desired.  However, please be aware that original oil paintings should never be framed under glass as the paint needs to breathe.  When I frame paintings (at request) I use framing clips or Barklips to hold the stretched canvas in the frame.  This makes removal easy if another frame should be desired.  Canvas boards should fit easily into a standard frame since the board is not as thick as a stretched canvas.  Art cards (ACEO) are shipped in a clear acid free plastic sleeve and rigid protective toploader.  You may wish to display canvas board mini paintings and art cards on a miniature easel.

Other Information:  Most of my paintings are original creations and usually are composed from photos of places I have visited/lived and oftentimes I use a composition combining two or three different pictures to create a unique composition.  However, some of my paintings have been created in art workshops, in art seminars that I have attended as well as from  instructional art videos and other art teaching books/studies.   When a painting is not entirely my original creation, but painted from a composition by another artist/teacher for instructional purposes (with permission to keep for my personal use or sell), I usually add my own touches to the painting in the form of animals/birds/people.   All paintings shown are hand-painted by me, not a print unless otherwise stated
